Support Small Businesses This Christmas

Support Small Businesses This Christmas

2020 has been a tough year for most of us, not to mention for small and local businesses. So, I thought I’d share a few of my favourite local businesses and shops that offer some great Christmas gift ideas.

The Candle Edit

The Candle Edit launched this year by sibling duo Zachariah and Molly, born from their shared love of scents. Their debut Christmas 2020 range features 4 beautiful scents – Christmas Zest, Festive Tree, Gingerbread and Peppermint & Eucalyptus. Blended from 100% soy wax for a slow and clean burn with responsibly sourced wood wicks, these candles are the perfect gift for anyone. Their sleek black and gold design makes them the ultimate luxury addition to any home this season. RRP £15.00

Pepper Letter

Pepper Letter have a gorgeous range of personalised products such as phone cases, passport holders and handbags. They offer both faux and real leather products that are embossed with your initials. Completely customisable, you can chose the font and leather colours. Their minimalist designs are so classy and are a great unisex Christmas gift option.

Fox Knots

Katy is a macramé artist from Jersey. Creating bespoke designs, Katy’s passion and talent is never ending, which shines through every piece she makes. With a wide range of products from keyrings to wall hangings and plant holders, there is something for everyone. She has even created a few Christmas designs giving your festive decorations a gorgeous boho twist. Prices start from JUST £3 for a keyring or tree decoration, making them the perfect little stocking filler.

Silver by Swan

I stumbled upon this shop whilst searching for a birthday gift for my mum. Wanting to get her something special, I opted for a gold bracelet made from my Grandmothers handwriting. I just found out an old letter where she had written my mum’s name, took a photo and sent it over to them. They offer both necklace and bracelet options in gold, silver, rose or black. Whether is from your child, parent or someone you’ve lost, I think this is a lovely sentimental gift idea.

A Type of Design

Another sentimental gift – these metal wallet/purse cards are a lovely keepsake. They can be personalised with hand or footprints, baby scan pictures and even photographs along with a short message and are available in gold, silver or white. A Type of Design also offer a wide range of other personalised gifts, so it’s well worth checking out their full range.

WeeFrame

Know a song that means something to someone? Perhaps it was your first dance? Or just one that’s linked to special memories? This personalised vinyl print is perfect for you! Customised with the full lyrics to any of your chosen songs, this art is printed on high quality satin oyster photo paper.

World Vision

Instead of buying your usually Christmas gifts, why not sponsor a child for Christmas? I did this for a family member 6 years ago and they have continued their sponsorship, following and supporting the journey of a young girl in India ever since. World Vision will send you prompts for their birthday and you will also receive handwritten letters and updates from the child that you sponsor. A truly heartwarming gift and what better way to share the love this Christmas.

I hope you enjoyed my ‘Support Small Businesses’ Gift edit and have found some inspiration for shopping locally. Stay safe and have a lovely Christmas!
